HEALING VISION

"Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying
only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry
that out.
"

At a recent AA meeting a speaker shared the belief that the
"Big Book” of Alcoholics Anonymous is "all about building a relationship with your Higher Power.”

This philosophy is embraced by the staff of Eagle‘s Gift. Daily residents are invited to practice various traditional forms of prayer and meditation.

SOCIAL MODEL

Since it's inception in January 2007, Eagle's Gift has evolved into a unique program inspired by its residents. In the comfort of a relaxing, nurturing home, the community works together to build a structure conducive to recovery while offering the flexibility to pursue a purposeful life.

This setting is ideal for highly functioning men who are serious about their recovery, responsible, and exhibit a willingness to be held accountable for their actions.

The following resources are also available
  on premise, to promote recovery:
  • Monthly MEDIA NITE: Collectively viewing a selected film, focusing on issues of addiction is presented. Complemented by dinner and snacks, it is a fun and educational way to explore addictive behavior and personal recovery in a safe setting.

  • Nightly, the community is invited to practice Step Ten by continuing "to take personal inventory” in a group setting.
  • Maintaining a healthy diet is paramount to recovery. Inspired by this, a nutritional food package is available upon request- fresh juice bar included.
  • Life skills coaching is available covering such topics as, cooking/nutrition classes (facilitated by a trained chef) and career/educational planning.
  • Complementary membership at a local health club and yoga classes given on-site.
  • Sober Companion- for an additional fee, men in recovery will assist the individual to create a supportive "safety net” as the individual strengthens his recovery skills.
