Jim Coddington, MSW, is the owner and Executive Director of Eagle's Gift. Jim believes in the need to promote the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of recovery. Here are some highlights of Jim's journey:

  • Jim was gifted with his sobriety in February of the year 2000
  • Earned his Master's Degree in Social Work in 2004, New Mexico
    Highlands University (NMHU)
  • Is registered as a Certified Alcoholism and other Drug Addiction Specialist (CAS) awarded by the Board Of Certification of Addiction Specialist through the California Association of of Addiction of Recovery Resources (CAARR)
  • Jim works as an adjunct staff member at Renaissance Malibu - a premier holistic residential treatment center located in California
  • Jim has earned a Certification in Spiritual Direction presented by the Saint Benedict's Monastery - Pecos, New Mexico.

Regarding spirituality, Jim considers himself a "contemplative". He has practiced meditation for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in the field of recovery using sacred Native American ceremonies. Native American rituals are an integral part of Jim's spiritual practice. He is a completed "sun dancer" and a carrier of the Sacred Pipe. He participates in and facilitates sweat lodge ceremonies on a regular basis.
